Facebook Messenger bot for your Page
A Facebook Messenger bot answers the messages people send your Page automatically, around the clock. BotReply connects your Page in one click, answers from the menu, catalog, and policies you upload, captures orders and bookings as it goes, and passes the conversation to your team when it needs a person.

How to connect your Page
Four steps, and the first two are Facebook's own login screen.
Connect with Facebook Login
Click Connect in your BotReply workspace and sign in with Facebook on Meta's own screen. There is no Facebook app to register in the developer console and no access token to copy anywhere.
Choose your Page
Pick the Page the bot should answer for. We exchange your login for a non-expiring Page access token, store it encrypted, and subscribe the Page to messaging webhooks automatically.
Upload what customers ask about
Your menu or catalog, prices, opening hours, delivery areas, booking rules, returns policy. The agent answers from this rather than from a model's general idea of your business.
Publish and let it answer
Link an agent to the channel and publish. Every Page message is answered automatically, lands in your shared inbox, and escalates to a person when your rules say so.
One Page per workspace, and the 24-hour window
Two things worth knowing before you start. A workspace connects one Page — if you run several brands, give each its own workspace, which keeps their knowledge bases, agents, and inboxes properly separate rather than blending them. And Meta allows replies within 24 hours of a customer's message, which is exactly the window this is for: someone asks, the agent answers. Messaging people outside it needs approved message tags and is not something BotReply does on your behalf.
What it does once it is live
Answers from your content
Retrieval over your uploaded material means the reply quotes your real prices, hours, and policies instead of improvising something plausible.
Captures orders and bookings
A Messenger conversation becomes a structured order, appointment, lead, or ticket in your pipeline, with the collected details attached.
Connected once, stays connected
The Page access token does not expire, so there is no periodic reconnection to remember. It is encrypted at rest and never returned by the API.
Formatted for Messenger
Messenger does not render markdown, so formatting is stripped rather than sent as literal asterisks, and long answers split at the 2000-character limit.
One inbox with every channel
Page messages sit alongside WhatsApp, Instagram, and your website, and your team can reply as a human from the dashboard.
Human handoff by rule
Escalate when someone asks for a person, when a topic is off limits, or when the AI is not confident — with the full conversation in view.
What this looks like in practice
Someone messages the Page asking whether you are open on Sunday and if you take groups of eight. The agent answers from your hours and booking rules, then records the reservation.
A customer asks whether you cover their area and roughly what a job costs. The agent answers from your service and pricing content, collects the details, and hands a qualified lead to your team.
Fifteen messages arrive over a weekend with nobody watching the Page. Each one is answered when it lands rather than on Monday, and the ones needing a person are flagged and waiting.
Page auto-reply vs an AI agent
Facebook's built-in instant reply tells people you will get back to them. This actually gets back to them.
| Situation | Page auto-reply | BotReply agent |
|---|---|---|
| Response time | Whenever someone checks the Page | Immediate, any hour |
| Handles unexpected wording | Keyword must match | Understands the question |
| Prices, hours, and policies | One canned reply | Retrieved from your content |
| Capturing a booking | Asks them to call | Collected in the conversation |
| Escalation to a person | Manual, if noticed | Rule-based, into a shared inbox |
| Same agent elsewhere | Messenger only | Shared with WhatsApp and Instagram |

Messenger bot FAQ
Connecting a Page, what Meta permits, and what the agent can do.
How do I add an AI bot to my Facebook Page?
Connect with Facebook Login from your BotReply workspace and pick the Page you want. BotReply stores the Page access token encrypted and subscribes it to messaging webhooks automatically. There is no Facebook app to create and no token to copy.
Can I connect more than one Facebook Page?
One Page per workspace. If you run several Pages, create a workspace for each — that also keeps their knowledge bases, agents, and conversations properly separated rather than mixing brands in one inbox.
When can the bot reply to someone?
Within the standard 24-hour messaging window that opens when a person messages your Page. That covers ordinary customer questions, which is what the bot is for. Messaging people outside that window requires Meta-approved message tags and is not something BotReply does automatically.
What does the bot do beyond answering questions?
It answers from your own catalog, pricing, and policies, and turns conversations into structured orders, appointments, leads, or support tickets in your dashboard pipeline. Conversations that need a person are escalated by your rules.
Will long answers get cut off?
No. Messenger caps a message at 2000 characters, so BotReply splits longer answers across messages rather than truncating them. Markdown is stripped because Messenger does not render it, and a typing indicator shows while the AI works.
Does the Page token expire?
No. BotReply exchanges your login for a non-expiring Page access token during connect, so the integration keeps working without periodic reconnection. The token is encrypted at rest and never returned by the API.
Can the same agent answer on Messenger and WhatsApp?
Yes. Agents belong to a workspace and channels bind to agents, so one agent — one knowledge base, one persona, one set of rules — can serve Messenger, Instagram, WhatsApp, and your website at the same time.
