Data Deletion

Data Deletion Instructions

How to delete your BotReply account and data — whether you run a business on BotReply or chatted with one through it.

Last updated: July 10, 2026

Overview

BotReply lets businesses run AI assistants on WhatsApp, Telegram, and their website. That means we hold two kinds of personal data: the account data of the businesses that use BotReply, and the conversation data of the customers who message those businesses. This page explains how each can be deleted. It supplements our Privacy Policy.

If You Run a Business on BotReply

You can delete your account yourself — no emails required:

  1. 1Log in to your dashboard at botreply.in.
  2. 2Go to Settings and scroll to the Danger Zone section.
  3. 3Choose Delete Account and confirm.

Prefer email? Write to [email protected] from your registered account email with the subject “Delete my account” and we will process the request for you.

What Gets Deleted

Deleting a business account removes all data associated with it:

  • Account & team — your business profile, login credentials, and all team member accounts.
  • Workspaces & agents — every workspace, AI agent configuration, and workflow.
  • Knowledge base — all uploaded documents, products, FAQs, and the search indexes built from them.
  • Conversations & contacts — all customer conversations, messages, contact records, leads, and actions.
  • Channel credentials — WhatsApp Business API tokens (stored encrypted), Telegram bot tokens, and widget configurations.
  • Billing identifiers — payment gateway customer and subscription IDs. Tax invoices are retained as required by law.

Disconnecting a WhatsApp channel (without deleting your account) immediately removes the stored access token for that channel and stops all message processing through it.

If You Messaged a Business Through BotReply

If you chatted with a business on WhatsApp, Telegram, or a website chat widget powered by BotReply, that business is the controller of your conversation data. You can:

  • Contact the business directly — ask them to delete your conversation history; they can do this from their dashboard.
  • Contact us — email [email protected] with the phone number (or email) you chatted from and the name of the business. We will verify the request and delete your conversation history, messages, and contact record from our systems.

To stop receiving WhatsApp messages from a business without deleting your data, reply STOP to any of its messages — you will be unsubscribed immediately.

Timeline

Deletion requests are processed within 30 days of verification. Residual copies in encrypted backups are purged within 90 days. Records we are legally required to keep — such as tax invoices and payment audit records — are retained for the statutory period and then deleted. We confirm by email once your deletion is complete.
